I was bored today and thought I would see if there was any new Leonard news, and I was happy to see that Leonard was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame this Feb 6..

The Gala is to be aired here in Canada on CBC on Monday, March 6 at 9 p.m. (E.T.) Really looking forward to it.

From what I've read, he is happy by annoyed by it. It means more attention, which I think he's pretty much over. I'm sure its great to be honored, but somehow I doubt the solitary buddhist he's become cares as much as his fans do. He's probably just annoyed at the having to give interviews.
Still singing his songs on the streets of San Francisco, for a week longer or so.

I am pleased to see that Randy Bachman, he of Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive fame, was selected last year, before Cohen was chosen.
He is certainly the more profound artist.

I watched the Gala on CBC last night and loved it. k d lang blew everyone away -- including Leonard -- with an amazing rendition of "Hallelujah" (which I saw her do live a while back in Toronto).
